“The only Battle of the Bands victor to have dawned the acoustic stage . . . Francesca Panetta set the bar extremely high for all the acoustic acts who followed in the wake of her elegance . . . Francesca Panetta captivated those lucky enough to enjoy their morning coffee (or Caesar) to the tune of her beautiful performance.” - Jordan Hodgins
Francesca Panetta embodies the spirit of an old soul — a self-described Transcendentalist Wayfinder. Her music grounds itself in the earthy storytelling of folk while drifting into the otherworldly textures of psychedelia — creating a sound that feels both rooted and transcendent. Often compared to artists like Florence + the Machine, Lana Del Rey, and Stevie Nicks, Francesca carves a space that is distinctly her own — where her music feels less like performance and more like passage: a sonic portal.
A lifelong devotee to her craft, her professional journey began in 2021 with the release of her debut EP, When the Sunshine Rains. She has since released a series of singles while deepening her live performance presence. In 2024, Francesca stepped into her calling as a full-time performing artist. She has woven her sound through Barrie and the Toronto/GTA region, expanded into Albany, New York, and has begun planting new roots in London, Ontario.
With a four-octave, blues-infused vocal color that moves from velvet depths to soaring light, Francesca crafts music that feels grounded enough to hold onto — and expansive enough to get lost in.
